Level 4-G2
Mohamad Karimjanati
Mohamad gave a very detailed description when introducing himself. Also, he could understand the questions immediately and he spoke in complete sentences using contractions well. He needs to work on the verb to be in the past form and also he made a couple of pronunciation errors, including ‘born’.
Armin Naseri
Armin could self correct and he could expand his answers well. Furthermore, he used comparative language correctly and used a variety of words. He should work on his listening as he had to have a lot of the questions repeated.
Amin Abasi
Amin was able to use simple complete sentences accurately and he used intonation and stress accordingly. He needs to work on his grammar more because he often missed out ‘to’ after certain verbs and he used a singular verb when a plural one was needed, such as, ‘in April the trees is’.
Farnosh Sadeghi
Farnosh gave an in-depth introduction and she could use time expressions well in her answers. Also, she could form present and past sentences correctly, but she had a few difficulties in comprehending some questions as she often gave an irrelevant response. Furthermore, she tended to leave out articles, so she should focus on this area more.
Ali Jafari
Ali could comprehend harder vocabulary with ease as he was able to answer all of the questions instantly. Also, he used conditional sentences correctly and he had a lot of relevant ideas. He made a couple of prepositional mistakes as he said, ‘I want to live to another country’. Furthermore, he used the present tense to talk about the past once or twice.
Elahe Aflaki
Elahe was able to place adverbs of frequency correctly in her sentences and she used a good range of vocabulary in her answers. Also, she pronounced words correctly and used examples in her replies. However, she needs to work on third person verb forms because she always missed the ‘s’ off them, also, Elahe should work on expanding her answers more because at times, they were quite short and I had to prompt her for more details.
Zeynab Jorofzadeh
Zeynab was a pleasant student who answered in a polite manner. Furthermore, she gave a lot of detail when questions were directly about her. Having said this, she needs to focus on her grammar and vocabulary more because she would leave the ‘s’ off plural nouns and she struggled with many questions because she did not understand the meaning of keywords.
Mahshad Sarkobi
Mahshad was able to speak at length about his personal information at the start. Also, he spoke at a good pace and was able to talk about his likes/dislikes. Although he was able to talk about what he likes, he generally used separate sentences instead of joining them together; also, he had to have a great amount of questions rephrased because he could not comprehend them.
Hosein Ziyari
Hosein had good pronunciation skills and he used time expressions appropriately. He was able to give information, but this was often in brief sentences or listed, so he should use connectors more. Also, he needs to work on his grammar because he made mistakes with tenses and used incorrect prepositions, such as, ‘I play football on the weekend’.
Somayeh Mahmodi
Somayeh spoke at a good pace and used adverbs of frequency correctly. Although she spoke clearly, she paused a lot part way through a sentence to think and this made her less fluent. Also, she made a couple of errors with verb patterns and subject pronouns because she said, ‘they enjoy to go to the gardens’ rather than ‘we enjoy going to the gardens’.
Elham Gholimi
Elham gave a detailed introduction and gave an excellent description when asked about her hometown. Also, she could understand harder vocabulary, such as, ‘advantages’ and easier questions. However, when it came to answering harder questions she struggled with their meaning as many had to be changed. Furthermore, I believe Elham needs to work on her listening more as she often misheard the question which resulted in an incorrect answer being given.
Nasrin Raeesi
Nasrin used the present simple and present past tense well in her answers and she gave a good introduction. Also, she used a lot of contractions which help with her fluency. She now needs to work on prepositions and her listening because when she was asked a ‘where’ question she gave a ‘why’ response.
MohamadBagher Maleknia
Mohamad used good opening expressions and used a wide range of vocabulary in his answers. Also, he could self correct and used adverbs correctly. However, he tended to give shorter replies and this meant that he had to be asked additional questions to gain more information, so he should look at ways to expand his answers, such as, using examples to support his opinion.
Azadeh Abtahi
Azadehcould form sentences well and use the present simple tense appropriately; also, he was able to talk at length when asked questions on his family. However, Azadeh needs to improve his vocabulary because he struggled to understand the majority of questions and he often paused in between his sentences to think which hindered his fluency.
Abdolrasoul Salehiafroz
Abdolrasoul was a friendly candidate who had good pronunciation skills and came up with some relevant ideas. However, he needs to use linkers a lot more because he struggled to join his ideas together. Also, he needs to work on his grammar more because he left out auxiliary verbs and used the singular form of the verb to be instead of the plural one.
Ali Salari
Ali gave a good description of his job and pronounced words correctly. Furthermore, he used complete sentences, had excellent ideas and could comprehend all of his questions easily. He made some mistakes with his grammar, in particular, with pronouns and gerunds, for example, ‘I hate cook’.
