Mehdi Haghgo
Mehdi pronounced words correctly and used grammatically correct sentences throughout. He got confused at times with some of the question which resulted in him answering then incorrectly. He would therefore need to work on his listening more and also needs to expand on his answers
.
Salamn Yeganeh
Salamn gave a good introduction and answered his questions well by giving examples to support them. He was able to response adequately to harder questions and used opening phrases well. He should work on his pronunciation and grammar further as he made numerous errors on these skills
.
Mojtaba Derakhshan
Mojtaba was a thoughtful speaker and uses appropriate vocabulary which related directly to each question. However, he often got his word order wrong and this made it harder to understand his thinking. I would also suggest that he works on his speaking speed and should try not to say ‘erm’ as often as this will help with his fluency
.
Mohamad Kazemi
Mohamad was a cheerfully confident student and an attentive listener. If he was unsure of a question’s meaning, he would try to answer it as well as he possibly could. In spite of this, he was only able to give short responses and this was down to him not using a wider range of vocabulary
.
Roya Sharifi
Roya gave an excellent introduction and can tackle more difficult questions well. She also gave a lot of example to support her answers and was able to self corrected herself. She made grammatical errors on occasions, but these were only minor third person ones. In addition to this, she struggled with the last question on ‘appearance’ and mistook it for ‘a parents’, so I would advise her to work on her listening
.
Amin Mosleh
Amin demonstrated an wide range of vocabulary and used sequencers well when structuring his responses. He made some errors with uncountable nouns e.g. ‘waters’ so he should look over these. He also had some confusions with certain words which led to an unrelated answer
.
Marziyeh Fatemian
Marziyeh had a good pronunciation of English words and was able to list examples. Though she was not able to develop her answers better and this resulted in shorter replies. Also, she often paused for longer periods and this will hinder her fluency, if she does this too often
.
Maryam Javidi
Maryam gave some brilliant responses to her questions and expanded them well. She also had good pronunciation skills and could understand slightly more abstract questions. She made a few errors with her grammar and repeated ‘sometimes’ a lot, so she should work on using synonyms
.
Zohreh Jorenosh
Zohreh showed a reasonable understanding of English and did not struggle with comprehending the questions, but she hade to be prompted in order to get a fuller answer from her. Also I would advise her to use examples as this will also help with giving a more detail response
.
Ensan Razaghi
Ensan gave a great opening when asked about himself and used appropriate words when responding. Although he was able to select words well, he did not use them in the correct form. Hence he should work on in grammar and in particular on plural and singular forms
.
Ramin Naziri
Ramin used comparative language well and was good at selecting suitable vocabulary. He also stress and emphasised words to good level, which will help his fluency. There were some slip-ups with word collocations, so he should work on this area
.
Elham Mosomi
Elham gave an in-depth introduction and was a clear speaker with good pronunciation skills. However, she failed to give a lot of detail without being prompted and repeated the same word rather than replacing it with a pronoun. She should work on using more pronouns and synonyms to improve her fluency
.
Hamed Shabih
Hamed was a confident speaker and had some good ideas in his answers, although he was not able to join them together to form a cohesive response. He should look at using linkers and conjunctions to connect his ideas together
.
Sajad Keshavrzi
Sajad was able to use comparative language well and used suitable examples to support his answers. Also, he demonstrated a good level of vocabulary and understood his questions immediately. He had a few pronunciation problems by working on his intonation and emphasis, and also using more complex grammatical structures to further his English
.
Zahra Khorami
Zahra had exceptionally good pronunciation skills, in particular her stress and intonation. She was able to use ideal opening phrases and displayed a broad range of vocabulary. There were one or two errors in her grammar, but they were only slight ones. She should now try to incorporate more idiomatic language
.
Negar Mohseni
Negar used appropriate opening phrases, personalised her answers and self corrected herself. She could also use linkers correctly and this gave her an easier-to-follow response. An area which she should now work on is pronunciation to become a better speaker of English
.
Mahdis Dehghani
Mahdis spoke clearly and used quite complex structures. I noticed that if she has a lot of knowledge on a certain subject, she can speak in detail, but if not then she gave a much shorter reply. She should now try to use a more varied range of English including idioms and proverbs to further her English
