Feedback: Level 6 Groups 1 & 2
Ali Kianizadeh
Ali was able to answer the questions with appropriate vocabulary. His grammar mistakes lost him marks. Pay special attention to your tenses-make sure you use the past tense. For example, you said: (question 1) “Yes, I go on a diet a lot in the past. When I was on a diet I eating more vegetables and more exercising and don’t eat fast food and saturated food.”
Also, when you use people use the correct verb conjugation. You said, “Because the people doesn’t have more time for cooking...”
Question 15-I asked him to describe his personality. He struggled when I asked him to describe himself. He said, “I am extrovert” but didn’t give any adjectives.

Alireza Khosravanian
Alireza answered the questions well, with appropriate vocab. His grammar was generally very good. He used the past tense well. One vocab mistake was “I was trying to gain weight”, instead of ‘lose’. Also, one important grammar mistake was, “people didn’t used to fast food”-he needed to add the verb “eat”. Fluency was not so good, because there was a lot of stuttering, but over all a very good test.
Pooran Mosalanejad
Pooran struggled to understand the first question. Answers were too short, with a lack of vocab and grammar was poor. Be careful with the present simple tense. You said, “ I’m always eat healthy food..” You need to say, “I ..” Also, be careful with adjectives. You said, “music is relax” , instead of “relaxing”.
Sorush Shahbian
Sorush was able to answer all questions, but the answers were too short and fluency was poor, because there were lots of pauses in speech. Also be careful with your tenses. You said “I’ve been on a diet because I’m fat.” This is unclear if you were fat or you are fat now, and if the diet was in the past.
Elham Ghasemi
Elham was able to answer all the questions, but there wasn’t a lot of vocab and sometimes there were problems with understanding. For example, I asked “How often do you eat carrots?” Elham didn’t understand. I said “Do you eat them every day?” Elham said “No”. I said, “So how often do you eat carrots?” Elham said “ I don’t know.”
Pronunciation problem with “quiet”- Elham pronounced it as “quite.”
Hamed Hashemi
It was clear Hamed knew lots of vocabulary and understood the questions. But sentences were not correctly formed. For example, “I am introvert when I go to party. I’m extrovert, sorry, when I go to party. But when I’m at home I’m introvert man, because...but I like to extrovert, because I think contact with people is good to communication, to find a friend, to have a good work.”
Also, he didn’t really answer question number 8,he talked about something else.
Fatemeh Shahkolahi
Fatemah had prepared well and her fluency was very good. Vocab was good.
Be careful with pronunciation- when she said ‘cars’ it sounded like ‘crars’. Also,
Number 6, I had problems understanding ‘calm’- I thought she said ‘cool’. Some lovely, perfect sentences, such as: “ I really need to interact with other people and be active but I always try to listen when I’m in a group. If you meet me at first I really quiet. After I spend time with people I open up.”
Ali Mazaheri
Ali’s fluency was very good, and his vocab was adequate. Answers were short though. Question 15-he didn’t listen to the question. I asked him to describe his personality, not tell me about extroverts and introverts.
Rahim Akbarpoor
Rahim’s fluency was lovely-the conversation flowed nicely. Good use of past tense “Two years ago I was on a diet when I was exercising at a gym.”.
Be careful with present tense. You said, “I’m eat fast food three times in the week.” Don’t use “I am”. Good attempt at an ‘if’ clause : “if I didn’t listen to music I can’t live.” However, you should have said, “If I didn’t listen to music I wouldn’t be able to live.”
Elham MohseniFard
Fluency was good and conversation flowed. Vocabulary was excellent and grammar was fantastic. Lovely comparison between past and present: “In the past people used to eat healthy homemade food but now people don’t have time to cook so they prefer to eat fast food and in the past people were more active than now.”
Zahra Mohseni .Absent
Forugh Rozbeh
Forugh spoke naturally and gave great answers with lots of explanation. Sentences flowed nicely with lovely grammar. I particularly liked these two well-formed sentences: “My best friend is my sister and I always talk about my problems to her and she gives me good suggestions.” “ If someone meets me they should come up to me and after a few minutes I open up.
Mohamadreza Shirbazo
Fluency was good; there were no pauses, he answered questions quickly and was well prepared. The first sentence that started in the present perfect was lovely:
“ Actually I’ve always been on a diet because I’ve never eaten fast food and I am vegetarian and I always try to eat food that is good for my body.” Just remember to use the indefinite article to say, “I’m a vegetarian.” The adverb of frequency “once in a while” to describe his fast food eating habits was good.
Just be careful with relative clause: “I want to be with a few people that I know them well.” You shouldn’t say ‘them’.
mohamad javad Oji
vocabulary was good, but there were some mistakes in grammar. Mohamad didn’t answer question 8 –I didn’t ask him to tell me about himself. He said “
“ Nurture. For example I’m going out with group of my friends and I know that lots of people, I’m hating to be alone.” Also, he incorrectly understood the word ‘least’ in question 7. “My least of favourite colour is active colour, if I tell you the truth is active colour such as red, or yellow, green.” I then asked, “Why don’t you like active colours?” He said, “ I love active colours.”
Samira Bagheri
Samira was able to answer questions, but the conversation was not very fluent, because there were lots of pauses. Grammar was poor, so the sentences were not formed well, for example: “because the people eat very fast food and junk food and the people woman and man work and don’t have time for make food because buy fast food and junk food then the people obese.”
Rahim Malekpoor
Answers were quick and natural. Take care with relative clauses. For example, you said: “it is nowadays both the woman and the man they work and they don’t have time to cook dinner and lunch…It is good for the couple that they work and they can stay home.” Just use ‘that’ or ‘who’ a your relative pronoun and you shouldn’t use ‘they’. Be careful with your pronunciation of ‘calm’. You shouldn’t pronounce the ‘l’.
Mahnaz Haghnegahdar
Easy, flowing conversation. Lovely pronunciation; good round vowels. Some good phrases, like “I’m in shape,” and “my parents expect a lot from me.” Vocab mistake, you said “life experiment”-you should have said “life experience.”
Zahra Mesbahi
Some really good phrases, which made conversation flow really well. For example, “as a matter of fact…”, “ I am a girl full of energy and can communicate with other people easily, even I see them for the first time.” Also, I liked the response to question 11: “Music… is a kind of art that shows the artists emotions.”
Ghasem Ruzitalab
spoke well and fluently. Good use of present perfect, “No I haven’t been on a diet before.” Good self-correction when mistakes were made. For example, “ I think their work don’t let him/them do more exercise. And they will be/they become lazy and don’t like do exercise.”
Armin Naseri
Armin spoke well-his vocab was good, but he could have given longer anwers, with more vocabulary. In question 15 it seemed that he confused ‘introvert’ and ‘extrovert’. “ I’m think I’m an introvert person coz I like to hang out with my friends a lot and I like to talk a lot…I always talk without thinking so I think I’m an introvert person.” I said, “Extrovert?” He said, “ No, introvert. I think I’m a mixture of both.”
Elnaz Alibeygi
Elnaz spoke clearly and naturally, but his grammar mistakes lost him marks. For example, mistake in the comparative: “…fast food is cheapest than the other food.” And some other errord. Vocab was good, especially describing his personality, “I am special personality, I am proud and flexible. I have a self- esteem and a high self- giving.”
Zahra Salehi
Lovely answers with good grammar and lots of vocab. Good use of the tenses:
“2 years ago, I controlled eating oily food, and rice, to be in shape and not be in fat.” Good comparative: “fast food are cheaper than other food…”
Just remember fast food is singular.
