He needs to work on extending his answers more without having to be asked ‘why’. Also, he should work on his listening and pronunciation as he misheard a couple of question and stressed ‘electricity’ incorrectly.

Najmeh Rezaei

Najmeh used opinionative phrases well and constantly gave detailed responses using descriptive language suitably. She was able to use adverbs suitably and used appropriate lexis. She needs to use more pronouns as she kept repeating the same noun instead of replacing it. Furthermore, she made a few errors with her pronunciation as she said, pronounced ‘know’ as ‘now’ instead of ‘no’.

Fatemeh Naseri

Fatemeh used opening phrases correctly and was able to form sentences using correct verb patterns. She could give a balanced argument and constantly gave detailed answers. She struggled to pronounce ‘prepare’ and tended not to add an ‘s’ with certain nouns, such as ,’those book’ and she missed it off third person verbs. So she should work on this more.

Shahnaz Zare

Shahnaz could use conditional structures correctly and could speak in the present perfect tense well. She was a controlled speaker who did not struggle to give detailed answers, using examples effectively. She ought to work on a few grammar points more as she made a few confusing verb mistakes because she said, ‘they learned me’ rather than ‘taught’; and she did not use the correct form of ‘have in third person sentences.

Mohamadali Tahriri

Mohamad had good pronunciation and used an excellent array of words, like ‘magnitude and Richter scale’, which always suited each question perfectly. He gave detailed responses and could support them easily with appropriate examples. He should try to paraphrase each question as he would often repeat what was said in the question, rather than using synonyms. Also, he missed out indefinite articles out once or twice.

Amir Khodakarami

Amir used examples well and could speak in various tenses accurately. Also, he used a wide range of vocabulary and could comprehend all of his questions easily. He should try to use more opening expressions and he needs to focus on his grammar further because he used an incorrect preposition, such as, ‘in night’ and he used an adjective when the noun form was need.

Mitra Hoseini

Mitra could use correct verb patterns in her answers and could use debating language fittingly. She could give detailed responses and demonstrated good listening skills as she understood every time. However, she used a first conditional structure when she was asked a question using second conditional and she used an incorrect word form a few times e.g. ‘it’s about real’ not ‘reality’.

Mohamad Gandomkar

Mohamad used appropriate vocabulary for each of his questions and could use sequencers well to stage his replies. He could speak in various tenses confidently, but did not give too much detail in his answers. Also, he used an incorrect prepositions as he said, ‘fan about’; and he did not try to rephrase the question when responding.

MohamadaliArian poor

Mohamad could use speculative language well and used various opening phrases throughout. He had good pronunciation and used examples correctly. However, he often used ‘must’ too much, so he should vary his modals and he would to follow it with ‘be’ then another verb, for example ‘we must be keep’. Also, he used ‘do’ instead of ‘does’ in third person sentences. So he should focus on his grammar more.

Iman Esmaili

Iman was able to use opening expressions in the majority of his answers and used vocabulary suitably. He could use comparative language well and comprehended his questions easily. Majid Fasihiyani

Majidgave detailed answers and spoke at a steady pace. He used examples well and use opinionative language suitably. He should work on his verb forms as he would follow ‘to’ with a gerund instead of infinitive. Also, he used the wrong form of the verb to ‘be’ with plural nouns. So he should focus on his grammar slightly.

Bitawas a confident speaker who was able to relate her answers back to previous information she had given in another reply. Also, she was extremely descriptive and could talk at length easily. She made one or two pronunciation mistakes, especially with ‘th’ sound as she should use a ‘t’ instead e.g. ‘thousand’ as ‘tousand’. Also, she tended to forget what it was she was going to say next as she would start a sentence, but then leave it incomplete as she was not sure how to finish it.

Najmehsadat Musavi

Najmeh used some excellent expressions in her answers, particularly when putting across her argument. Also, she used adverbs well and had good listening skills as she was able to comprehend her answers and use the right tense to respond. Omid demonstrated excellent listening skills and he was able to form third conditional sentences well. He was able to switch between tenses easily and used correct prepositions. He made one or two mistakes with word order as he put the subject after auxiliary verb and he should try to use more phrasal verbs and idiomatic language.

Raziyeh gave a detailed introduction and this continued in her answers which also contained fitting expressions, such as, ‘I can’t get enough of them’. She could use phrasal verbs and opinionative phrases well and supported her ideas with examples. Mehrdad could use a range of structures well, like passive voice properly and have good pronunciation. He could understand his questions easily and spoke in complete full sentences. Having said this, he often gave quite short replies and he made a few grammatical mistakes, including using an auxiliary verb incorrectly and making wrong verb patterns as he said ‘I’m agree’.

FatemehNikoo

Fatemeh was able to speak in simple sentences and spoke at a steady pace. She tried to answer all of her questions and used the present simple tense correctly when giving personal information. However, she needs to work on her listening more because she was not able to answer some of her questions as she could not comprehend them. Saeed Abbasi

Saeed used sequencers well and could speak in full sentences. Furthermore, he could talk at length and could comprehend his questions easily and gave one or two examples some of them too.
