Azarnosh used expressions well to give her opinion like ‘I think’. She used various structures correctly such as first conditional and modals. She should try to use contractions more when speaking and work on her comprehension slightly as she was not able to understand her question on ‘abroad’ due to not knowing the meaning of it. Furthermore, she did not answer a question on gestures correctly because she named different kinds rather than speaking of their importance.

Zahra moheb poor

Zahra could comprehend her questions easily and used time phrases correctly. She used good descriptive language to speak about a film and spoke in complete sentences. Having said this, she should work on her grammar more because she could not reproduce present simple structures when she was supposed to. Also, she tended to follow the modal verb ‘must’ with ‘to’ as she said, ‘we must to know’.

Maryam manochehri

Maryam used good examples in her response and used good vocabulary to speak on hotel preferences. She used conjunctions correctly and had good ideas. Despite this, she could not give reason for her ideas, so she should try to expand them in this way. Furthermore, she ought to focus on her listening skills because she misheard a few questions which resulted in an inaccurate response.

Laya baniasad

Laya used a range of adjectives well and used examples correctly to support her ideas. She spoke at a steady pace could speak in the present simple tense correctly. She now needs to focus on her other tenses as, although she could comprehend present perfect questions, she could not give a suitable response as she would copy what was in her question. For example, ‘I have ever see Japan before’. Furthermore, she should try expanding on her own as she had to be asked ‘why’ in order to gain extra details.

Noshin khodadadi

Noshin could give reasons for her ideas and used a wide range of vocabulary. She always gave full answers and could understand her questions. She should remember to use short answers as she would just say ‘yes’ or give an incomplete version such as ‘yes I agree’ not ‘yes I do’. In addition, she used incorrect verb forms with third person and even used two verbs together in her sentences.

Sahar soboti

Sahar spoke clearly and used adjectives well. She used a range of modals and could speak in complete sentences using correct third person verb forms when using the present simple tense. However, she was not able to use correct structures when asked present perfect questions as she would use a present simple verb like ‘I go’ instead of ‘I’ve been’. Also, she should work on her comprehension slightly as she was not sure of her question relating to movie types.

Shabnam kajavashkan

Shabnam used full sentences and spoke at a good pace. She used a range of adjectives such as ‘relaxed’ and ‘interested’ and used good expressions to speak about her likes/dislikes. She should expand her vocabulary more though as she would often use the adjectives for various questions. Also, she was not able to answer questions which were marginally broader, so again it would help for her to widen her lexis.

Mohamad bahmani

Mohamed gave excellent responses throughout. He had good pronunciation as he used accurate stress and intonation and could understand his questions with ease. Furthermore, he used good opening expressions and did not struggle with harder structures responding fittingly. There were a couple of slight mistakes such as using a noun form instead of the adjective equivalent e.g. ‘violence behaviour’. Also, he used ‘have’ instead of ‘has a couple of times.

Babak nariman

Babak gave lengthy responses and was able to use the present simple tenses suitably. He used complete sentences throughout and used modal verbs whenever needed. He should work on his listening more because he misheard a few questions such as the one on his funniest movie instead he spoke about the ‘best’ film. Also, he was not able to replicate present perfect tense and sometimes used the past when referring to the present.

Razie azodi

Razie demonstrated very good listening and comprehension skills. She used good expressions and spoke at a naturally clear pace. In addition, she used an array of words and used correct examples to support her ideas. She made a few errors with pronouns and modals as she missed out an infinitive when using an adjective, for example ‘know about the culture, it can helpful’. Also, she missed an ‘s’ off plural nouns a couple of times.

Hmidreza arshi

Hmidreza used opening expressions like ‘in my opinion’ correctly and could speak in full sentences for each question. He used suitable illustrations for his questions and modals too. Having said this, he would miss his main verb out as he said, ‘people should anything’. Also, he used determiners inaccurately and should work on his listening because he misunderstood some questions including one on funniest movies.

Hasan beyzaii

Hasanused a range of vocabulary in his answers and gave suitable examples in them. He was able to use conjunctions correctly and could understand his questions easily. Also he used singular verbs with plural quantifiers.

Mohsen Akram zade

Mohsen could comprehend his questions well and had good listening skills. He spoke in full sentences and could use the present simple tense suitably. Having said this, he had a couple of issues with his word order as he put the object at the start of a sentence. One example of this is when he said ‘kids it’s not good’ rather than ‘it’s not good for kids’. Also, he missed an auxiliary when using short answers.

Hosnie saberi

Hosnie demonstrated very good listening skills and he used a  good level of eye contact when speaking, which was nice to see. Also, she used a wide range of adjectives like ‘unforgettable’ or ‘attentive’ and she spoke in full sentences using examples to expand. She made a couple of mistakes with the present perfect tense because she used ‘gone’ rather than ‘been’ to talk on a past experience. Furthermore, she used the present simple tense instead of the past to speak on a particular past event.

Sara salahi

Sara was able to give a balanced answer when asked broader questions and used synonyms. She spoke at a steady pace and was clear throughout. Her replies followed a logical order and she used excellent past expressions such as ‘when I was a child…’. She ought to be careful with her pronunciation as she mispronounced ‘amenities’ and used an incorrect auxiliary with adjectives once or twice.

Shahrzad Arian far

Shahrzad could use various clauses correctly and was able to paraphrase her questions. She was a confident speaker and could understand her questions with ease. She misheard one question on her ‘funniest’ movie and spoke about her ‘favourite’ instead, although this was luckily a comedy film. Furthermore, she used an incorrect past participle with present perfect activities as she said ‘I have gone snorkelling’.

Omid manochahrian

Omidwas able to use emphasising words such as ‘so’ in his replies and could use relative clauses fittingly. He had good listening skills and could speak in the present and past tense well. However, he made a few mistakes with auxiliary verbs because he said ‘I wasn’t agree’. Also he missed out an ‘s’ with plural nouns.

Elnaz bande

Elnaz used conjunctions and modal verbs accurately and had good ideas. She used appropriate vocabulary like ‘suffering’ and ‘customs’ and could understand questions which were more subjective. She should work on her adjective forms because she did not use –ed versions when speaking about her own feelings and she would use both nouns and pronouns rather than one or the other. For example, ‘hotel it has…’.

Zohre Vafa poor

Zohre was a steady speaker who could use suitable examples to expand her answers. She used determiners suitably and used numerous expressions correctly like ‘would rather’ and ‘had better’. Finally, she was able to speak in different tenses correctly, including present perfect. She should be careful with her ‘v’s as she would mispronounce words that started with them and she used a verb form instead of an adjective once or twice.

Hoda Mohammad poor

Hoda gave detailed answers and could speak in various tenses correctly. She used modals well and was very descriptive using a range of adverbs including ‘fortunately’ and ‘suddenly’. She should watch her past continuous tense as she missed her auxiliaries out here and she would confuse adjective and noun form of some words like ‘violence’.

Mahmod reza rasooli

Mahmodreza could comprehend his questions well and spoke in full complete sentences. He used superlatives correctly as he said, ‘the most impatient…’and he could give reasons for his ideas. Ali moftakhar

Ali used full sentences and gave reasons for his views. He used an appropriate range of lexis such as ‘cleanness’ and ‘genres’ and used comparative adjectives well. He made some errors with verb forms as he used a singular instead of plural with plural nouns.
